After the resounding success of Hear My Voice’s premiere season in 2023, Alexandra is excited to be returning to the stage to share this highly acclaimed show at the fabulous new Fringe venue, Plant 4 Bowden Mezzanine.
What does your voice reveal about your identity?
In ‘Hear My Voice,’ Alexandra Frost explores the nuances of her voice, which has been both misunderstood and misgendered.
Through authentic storytelling, laced with humour and sincerity, Alexandra leads us on a journey from Nina Simone to Edith Piaf, deftly delving into themes of identity, struggle, and acceptance. She uses jazz and blues songs to elevate her heartfelt stories into moving anthems that leave audiences both teary and uplifted.
On stage, she’s joined by jazz pianist Ed Heddle. Together, they remind us of the extraordinary power of the human voice—our most expressive and transformative instrument.
